Ropeburn (real name is Travis Burfield) is a sub-antagonist in the game of Mirror's Edge. He was a tough wrestler who (as told by Mercury) broke a competitors arm and headbutted a referee that tried to stop him. Robert Pope, a big fan of wrestling, hired Burfield to be one of his management employees (Jacknife says it was Security).
After Jacknife tells Faith about him, Faith goes to Ropeburn's office where she overhears his involvement with Project Icarus. Escaping the building (being attacked by Blues) Faith informs Miller, who sets up a meeting with Ropeburn on an reconstructing building. Faith gets to the meeting, only to be ambushed by Ropeburn (most likely he saw her). Throwing her onto another part of the building, he attempts to kill Faith by bashing her down with a metal pipe. But instead he gets countered by Faith, who literally pushes him off the building. Nearly falling off, holding on to the edge for his dear life, Faith forces him to reveal that he hired an assassin to kill Pope. Ropeburn also told her a meeting was arranged the next day to meet the killer at the New Eden Mall, and refused to tell more unless the Runner got him up.
Faith was about to pick him up, but an unknown sniper shot Ropeburn, making him lose his grasp and plummet to his death.
